OUR STORIES

Working with the students at Apache Elementary has been one I will never forget.  These students have taught me one of the most valuable lessons as a teacher.  Every student is different.  They learn in a different way and at a different pace.  These two boys were completely different.  One needed more help while the other one was pretty self-sufficent.  It was pretty easy for me to work with these two boys.  If teachers only had a few students to work with, they may be able to make sure that no child is left behind.  The reality is that teachers have many students to teach.  If teachers realize that each student is completely different and are able to identify with each child, then they will be a more effective teacher.  This experience has given me the knowledge and tools to identify with students and to become a more effective teacher.
